Instructions
Administer antibiotics, tetanus toxoids and anti-toxins to your donkey. These are usually administered for several weeks. Your veterinarian will be able to prescribe these medications.
Protect your donkey from lights and sounds that might stimulate nervousness.
Place your donkey in a darkened stall and plug it's ears with cotton.
Restrict your donkey's activity for one month following treatment. Keep a close eye on your donkey every time he gets injured. A wound can be an invitation for tetanus.
Get your donkey vaccinated once a year for tetanus by a veterinarian to prevent it from returning.
