Gastrointestinal anthrax is contracted by ingestion of contaminated meat( usually undercooked) or ingestion of contaminated water.
Cutaneous anthrax is the most frequent clinical form of anthrax and it is contracted by contact with infected animals or contaminated animal products like wool,leather or hair.
Pulmonary anthrax is contracted by inhalation of spores of bacillus anthracis ,which may occur in industrial workers or laboratory personnel or through bioterrorism.
Injection anthrax is the rarest clinical form and is contracted by injection of spores,usually by drug users.
