How many elephants die a day because of poaching?
Poaching is the illegal hunting, capturing, or killing of wildlife. It is a major threat to elephants and other endangered species. According to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), an estimated 25,000 to 30,000 African elephants are killed each year due to poaching. This means that, on average, around 68 to 82 elephants die each day because of poaching.
