What eats an American Buffalo?

American Buffalo, also known as Bison, are large and powerful animals. They are preyed upon by a few animals:

* Wolves: Wolves are the most common predator of bison, especially in Yellowstone National Park.

* Mountain Lions: Also known as Cougars, these large cats can take down young or weak bison.

* Bears: Grizzly bears and black bears can prey on bison, particularly cubs or injured individuals.

It's important to note:

* Humans: Sadly, human hunting and habitat destruction have been major factors in the decline of the bison population.

* Other Predators: Coyotes, bobcats, and even eagles may scavenge on bison carcasses.

Bison are often able to defend themselves against predators due to their size and strength. They are also herd animals, and this provides them with extra protection.
