What animals just eat meat?

Animals that exclusively eat meat are called carnivores. Here are some examples:

* Mammals: Lions, tigers, wolves, cheetahs, leopards, polar bears, dolphins, whales

* Birds: Eagles, owls, hawks, falcons, penguins

* Reptiles: Snakes, crocodiles, alligators

* Fish: Sharks, barracudas, piranhas

* Insects: Praying mantises, ants, wasps

It's important to remember that some animals may be obligate carnivores, meaning they *must* eat meat to survive. Others might be facultative carnivores, meaning they primarily eat meat, but might occasionally eat other things like plants or insects.

There are also many animals that are omnivores, meaning they eat both meat and plants.
