Things You'll Need
- 10 inch-by-10 inch piece of welded stainless steel or wire mesh fencing
- Two 11 inch-by-12 inch pieces of welded stainless steel or wire mesh fencing
- 10-gauge wire
- Pliers
- Wire Cutters
Instructions
Take the 10 inch-by-10 inch piece of wire mesh and use the wire cutters to cut it diagonally from the bottom right corner to the top left hand corner to form two triangles.
Lay one of the pieces of 11 inch-by-12 inch welded stainless steel or wire mesh fencing down on your work surface. Using the wire cutters, cut small pieces of the 10-gauge wire and use them to attach the two triangles to the rectangular piece of fencing at 90 degree angles. Make a loop in the piece of wire, thread it through both pieces of fencing and use the pliers to twist it until taut. The wide end of the triangles must be at the top of the feeder.
Using small pieces of wire, secure the back to the wire feeder in the same way as you did in Step 2. Use your wire cutters to cut off any pieces of protruding wire or fencing that could possibly harm your goats.
Cut two 10 inch pieces of wire and make a loop on both ends. Hook one end to the top of the feeder and use the pliers to twist the wire to secure the hook to the feeder. Hook the other end over your fence or barn wall. Add feed.
