What animals eat a cougar?

Adult cougars have very few natural predators. The most common predators of cougars are:

* Wolves: Wolves are a significant threat to cougars, particularly in areas where their ranges overlap.

* Bears: While bears are generally more herbivorous, they will occasionally prey on cougars, especially when food is scarce.

* Other cougars: Cougars are solitary animals, but sometimes young or weaker cougars can be killed by larger, more dominant individuals.

It's important to note that these are the most common predators, but cougars are at the top of the food chain, making them apex predators. Their only real threats are other apex predators and occasionally human activity.
