What do swamp deer eat?

Swamp deer, also known as barasingha or Cervus duvaucelii, are herbivorous animals with a varied diet. They primarily consume grasses and other herbaceous plants such as sedges, rushes, and aquatic vegetation. Swamp deer are known to prefer wetlands and marshy habitats, where they can find an abundance of these types of plants. They also feed on leaves, buds, twigs, and bark of various shrubs and trees. Swamp deer are opportunistic feeders and will consume fruits and fallen seeds as well. During times of scarcity, they may even resort to eating bark and fallen leaves.
