What eats a Oxpecker?
The primary predators of oxpeckers are raptorial birds such as falcons, hawks, and eagles. These raptors hunt and feed on a wide variety of birds and small animals, including oxpeckers. Oxpeckers are also targeted by butcherbirds, which are known for their aggressive hunting behavior and their habit of impaling their prey on thorns or branches. In some cases, oxpeckers may also fall prey to mammalian predators such as snakes and mongoose.
