Why bears run downhill?

Bears don't necessarily *run* downhill, but they do tend to move more quickly and easily on a downward slope. Here's why:

* Gravity: Gravity assists their movement, making it easier to move faster and with less effort.

* Momentum: As they descend, their momentum increases, allowing them to gain speed without expending a lot of energy.

* Terrain: Downhill slopes often offer a more natural path and smoother terrain, reducing the need for navigating obstacles.

However, it's important to note that bears can and do climb uphill as well. They are strong and agile animals that can traverse varied terrain.

So, while bears may prefer downhill movement for efficiency, they are capable of moving in all directions.
