How many stomachs do buffalo have?

Buffalo, like all ruminants, have four stomachs.

These stomachs are called:

* Rumen: The largest stomach, where food is fermented by bacteria.

* Reticulum: A honeycomb-like structure that traps larger particles of food.

* Omasum: A spherical organ that absorbs water and minerals.

* Abomasum: The "true" stomach, where digestive enzymes are released.
