Things You'll Need
- 5 cloves
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 sprigs of mint
- Water
- Mortar and pestle
- Sauce pan
- Stove
- Timer
- Strainer
- Bowl
Instructions
Grind up the cloves, garlic cloves and sprigs of mint using a mortar and pestle. If you do not have a mortar and pestle, crush the ingredients together using other culinary tools, such as a tenderizing tool or sharp knife. When the ingredients are finely crumbled, pour them into a sauce pan filled with 1 cup of water.
Boil the water and herbs. Reduce the heat to low, and allow the mixture to simmer for 20 minutes with the lid of the saucepan on.
Position a strainer in the sink over a bowl. Strain the contents of the saucepan using the strainer, and collect the liquid in the bowl.
Chill the liquid in the refrigerator until the tea is cooled. Pour the mixture over the goat's food. Mix the tea in well with the food so that the goat is sure to consume it. Continue doing this for every meal so the goat has an adequate dose of freshly ground cloves, and other deworming herbs, such as garlic and mint.
