How to Use Cayenne Pepper to Worm Goats

If your goat has a worm problem, there are several measures that your veterinarian can take, most of which are prescription medicines. However, if you are looking for an organic solution to the problem, there are two species of wormwood that you can combine with cayenne pepper to treat your goats. Mugwort (artemisia vulgaris) is safer for your goat than common wormwood (artemisia absinthium).

Instructions

    • 1

Mix 2 tsp. wormwood (mugwort) powder with honey and flour to mask the taste of the wormwood. Use whatever amount you think will make this remedy enticing to your goat.

    • 2

Add 4 tsp. cayenne pepper to this mixture and stir.

Add this mixture to your goat's normal food. If the goat does not eat it with the rest of its food, then open your goat's mouth and slide the mixture down its tongue. Hold the goat's mouth until it swallows the mixture. Most of the time, the goat should bolt it down with its meal.
