How to Make Table Numbers for a Wedding

Make wedding reception seating simple by placing numbers to display at each table at your wedding reception, so guests can easily find their places. Guests pick up place cards at the beginning of a reception that give them their table number. Using a word-processing program and an everyday printer, you can make your own table numbers at home. Add your own artistic flair by using the colors in your theme and any font you choose. Then, display the numbers in picture frames or in number holders.

      Match the document size in your word-processing program to the dimensions of the paper you'll be using.

      Adjust the style of the font to your liking and make the numbers as large as you desire by altering the point size. The font color can also be altered to match your wedding's color scheme.

      Add artwork. Embellish the number with clip art or preloaded frames from your word-processing program.

      Print out the numbers.

      Cut out the numbers. Cut the paper to fit inside of the photo frames so it looks neat or fold to size if you won't be seeing the reverse side of the paper. If placing the numbers on a stand, you may want to use a paper cutter to avoid jagged cuts from scissors.

      Open the frames and insert the numbers. Alternately, laminate the numbers before putting them into a holder.
