Instructions

    • 1

Place the sheep in a sheep blocking stand. This prevents the sheep from running away or making any sudden movements. Sheep should be contained in the blocking stand for then entire process. The process can be done in parts to let the sheep rest.

    • 2

Run a burr comb over the fleece of the sheep. The burr comb removes burrs and other objects stuck to the exterior of the fleece.

    • 3

Scrub the outside of the fleece with a fine-finger comb. The finger comb should touch the skin of the sheep to massage and relax the sheep. The finger comb also breaks up dirt and debris on the fleece.

    • 4

Spray water over the sheep using a spray bottle. Start with the body of the sheep and move towards the face. Wear a rubber glove over your hand and rub five drops of sheep shampoo into the fleece. Freshen Up, Cool Blue and White Pearl are all lamb and sheep shampoos.

    • 5

Let the shampoo absorb for 20 minutes. Rinse the shampoo with water using a hose.

    • 6

Brush the service of the fleece using a pin brush. This untangles the fleece while it is drying. Let the fleece dry for 3 hours.

    • 7

Brush the fleece with a bent wire comb. Rub the areas near the face, neck and head. That opens the fleece and soothes the animal.

    • 8

Trim the hooves of the sheep using a foot trimmer. Apply foot care medication over the hooves after trimming. Return the sheep back to the grazing area.
