Why are pig not fluffy?

Pigs are not fluffy because they don't have the same type of fur as animals like sheep or rabbits. Here's why:

* Hair Structure: Pigs have short, coarse hair that is more like bristles than fluffy fur. These bristles are designed to protect the pig from the elements and provide some insulation.

* Purpose of Hair: Pigs don't need fluffy fur for warmth. They often live in warm climates and their thick layer of fat provides excellent insulation.

* Breeding: Over centuries, pigs have been bred for different purposes. Breeders have focused on traits like meat production and resistance to disease, rather than fluffiness.

However, there are some breeds of pigs that have a bit more fluff than others. For example, the "Meishan" breed has a longer, thicker coat than other pigs.

It's important to remember that "fluffy" is subjective and depends on the specific breed and individual pig.
