Instructions
Groom your show pig by giving it a bath to remove the dirt from its skin. Pour tepid soapy water in the bathtub or a large basin. Use a brush to scrub the pig's skin thoroughly. Rinse your show pig's skin and dry it with a clean towel immediately.
Clean your show pig's ears and nose. Use a cotton-tipped swab to clean its ears and a soft, warm cloth to wipe the area around the eyes. It is common for a brownish discharge to collect on the eyelashes, around the eyes and inside of a pig's ears.
Brush your show pig's hair with a soft bristle brush. The hair should be brushed in the direction that it naturally grows. Use small scissors to trim the hair in the pig's ears and tail, paying special attention to the inside of the ears.
Get your show pig's tusks cut by a veterinarian. This procedure should be done by a professional, as it can be painful. Anesthesia is used during the procedure to eliminate any pain.
