What animals can regrow teeth?
Several types of animals have the ability to regrow their teeth continuously throughout their lives. The most famous example is sharks. Sharks have multiple rows of teeth, and as the teeth in the front row become damaged or fall out, new teeth move forward to replace them. Some other animals with the ability to regenerate teeth include crocodiles, alligators, turtles, and certain rodents like beavers and squirrels. Each species has unique biological mechanisms that allow for tooth regeneration, but they all share the ability to produce and replace teeth as needed.
