What do bull bats eat?
Bull bats (also known as bonneted bats, or fishing bats) are carnivores that primarily feed on insects, especially those found near bodies of water, as they are known for foraging above the water's surface. Bull bats catch insects by trapping them between the folds of skin under their chins and in their lips, and then they release them to catch insects that are trapped on the water surface. Their favorite insects to eat include water beetles, moths, and water bugs. They also sometimes feed on small fruits and seeds, but their primary diet consists of insects.
