How old does a piglet have to be leave its mother?
A sow, or female pig, will typically care for her piglets until they are around three weeks old. During this time, she will provide them with food, shelter, and protection. The piglets will also begin to learn how to forage for food and interact with other pigs. At three weeks of age, the piglets will begin to wean from their mother and will start to eat solid foods. They will also become more independent and will begin to explore their surroundings. By six weeks of age, the piglets will be fully weaned and will be ready to leave their mother.
