Is a Winchester Model 100 recommended for pig hunting?

No. The Winchester Model 100 is not a good choice for hunting pigs.

Pigs have formidable hides and bones and, as such, require hunting cartridges with high penetration power. The Model 100 can only chamber .243 Winchester and .308 Winchester rounds, which are generally too underpowered for pig hunting.

Hunters should use firearms that shoot more powerful cartridges, like the .35 Whelen, .300 Winchester, or .375 H&H when hunting these tough animals.
