Is a Cavapoo shedding or non-shedding animal?

Cavapoos are not non-shedding dogs. They are actually considered moderate shedders.

While they inherit the hypoallergenic qualities of the poodle parent, they still shed a bit more than a purebred poodle.

Here's why:

* Mixed breed: Cavapoos are a mix of Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Poodle. The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel sheds more than the poodle.

* Coat type: Cavapoos can have different coat types depending on the mix. Some have a wavy coat, while others have a curly coat. Both types shed, but the curly coat tends to trap more loose hair.

Although they're not non-shedding, regular brushing and grooming can help manage the shedding and keep your Cavapoo looking its best.
