What kind of animal prairie?

The term "prairie" refers to a type of ecosystem, not a specific animal.

Prairie ecosystems are characterized by:

* Grasslands: Dominated by grasses and other herbaceous plants.

* Open Spaces: Few trees, allowing for wide-open views.

* Seasonal Variations: Hot summers, cold winters, and often periods of drought.

Many different animals inhabit prairies, including:

* Mammals: Bison, pronghorn, prairie dogs, coyotes, rabbits, deer, etc.

* Birds: Hawks, owls, meadowlarks, sparrows, etc.

* Reptiles and Amphibians: Snakes, lizards, frogs, toads, etc.

* Insects: Grasshoppers, beetles, ants, butterflies, etc.

So, instead of saying "prairie animal," it's more accurate to refer to specific animals that live in prairie ecosystems.
