Why do cows bark?

Cows don't bark! That's a sound associated with dogs.

Cows make a variety of other sounds, including:

* Mooing: This is their most common vocalization, used for a variety of reasons like calling their calves, expressing distress, or communicating with other cows.

* Lowing: A deeper, more mournful sound often used by cows when they are separated from their calves or feeling anxious.

* Grunting: Cows often grunt when they are eating or chewing.

* Snorting: This can be a sign of excitement or aggression.

* Bellowing: A loud, booming sound used for attracting attention or signaling danger.

So, while cows don't bark, they have their own unique vocabulary of sounds!
