What and animal grows two layers of fur?

Many animals grow two layers of fur! Here are some examples:

* Wolves, foxes, and other canids: They have a dense undercoat for insulation and a longer, coarser guard hair for protection and waterproofing.

* Bears: Similar to canids, bears have a thick undercoat and guard hairs.

* Arctic animals like polar bears and arctic foxes: Their undercoats are extremely dense and insulating, while their guard hairs are translucent to help them blend in with the snow.

* Cats: Cats have a soft undercoat and a longer, more visible top coat.

* Dogs: Depending on the breed, dogs can have a variety of fur types, but many have a double coat.

These are just a few examples, and many other animals also have double coats!
