Homemade Fly Killer

Homemade fly killer uses simple household ingredients to accomplish its task. If you don't have all the necessary ingredients on hand, try a substitute with similar properties. Flies are naturally repelled by the acidity in vinegar and by the sharp, lemony scent of citronella. Liquid soap washes away the natural oils present on any insect. Baby oil coats a fly, thus preventing it from flying. Avon's Skin So Soft bath oil has a property all its own and is widely used to repel insects.
