Things You'll Need
- Paper plate
- Drinking glass
- Pencil
- Pink construction paper
- Scissors
- Safety pin
- Glue or glue stick
- Red/rose construction paper
- Permanent marker
Instructions
Trace the rim of the drinking glass on the paper plate and cut the circle out to create the base of the pin. Trace and cut out on a piece of pink construction paper as well and set aside.
Cut two small slits a half inch apart near an edge of the paper plate circle; this edge will become the top. Slip the clasp half of a safety pin through one slit and back out the other, leaving the needle portion available for pinning.
Apply glue to the surface of the paper plate, including over the safety pin. Place the pink circle over the surface of the paper plate to attach it and cover over the safety pin. Let the glue dry thoroughly.
Cut a small oval out of the red or rose colored construction paper for the pig's nose. Draw two smaller ovals or circles on the red paper with the permanent marker for the nostrils.
Cut out two ear-like triangles from the red paper and leave as is or draw in some shading on the inside of the triangles with the pen.
Glue the nose and ears to the pink paper and let dry. Draw eyes and a mouth on the pink paper to complete the pig pin. Now it's ready to wear.
