How to Make Homemade Deer Repellent for Fruit Trees

Deer love fruit trees. If you have fruit trees in your yard, you will need to protect them from hungry deer. Besides the fruit, deer will also eat the bark of the tree, which can cause the tree to die. Of course, you can buy ready made deer repellent but it may contain chemicals that you don't want getting on your fruit tree. This homemade solution is safe for your tree and won't cost much money to make.

Place the following ingredients in your blender: water, cayenne pepper, hot sauce, eggs, garlic cloves and Wilt Proof Plant Protector (see Resources). The plant protector is not necessary to repel deer, but it will keep your fruit trees healthy and will make the homemade deer repellent last a little longer.

Blend all the ingredients together. Make sure the garlic is well chopped in the blender. You may want to use a garlic press before you put the garlic in the blender.

Pour the contents of the blender in an empty spray bottle.

Spray your fruit trees with your homemade deer repellent once a week. You should also spray after each time it rains, to replace any repellent that may have been washed away.
