In a food chain what shows the movement of energy?
The arrows in a food chain show the movement of energy. The arrows point from the organism that is eaten to the organism that does the eating. For example, in the food chain grass → grasshopper → bird, the arrow from grass to grasshopper shows that the grasshopper gets its energy from eating grass. The arrow from grasshopper to bird shows that the bird gets its energy from eating grasshoppers.
