Why do you use curved throwing sticks when hunting small animals?

Throwing sticks, also known as boomerangs, are not typically used for hunting small animals. Boomerangs are designed to return to the thrower after being thrown, so they are not ideal for hunting as the animal would be able to escape before the stick returns. Hunting small animals typically involves the use of traps, snares, or other methods of capturing the animal. Boomerangs are primarily used for recreational purposes, such as sport or competition.
