What can take down a deer?

1. Predators:

- Wolves

- Mountain lions

- Bears

- Bobcats

- Coyotes

2. Hunting:

- Humans are one of the biggest predators of deer. Deer are hunted for food, sport, and population control.

3. Disease:

- Many diseases can affect deer, such as Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD), bovine tuberculosis, and various other bacterial and viral infections.

4. Accidents:

- Deer can be hit by cars or trains, which can cause serious injuries or death.

5. Weather:

- Severe weather conditions, such as blizzards, floods, and droughts, can also cause deer to die.

6. Habitat loss:

- As human populations grow, the natural habitats of deer are often destroyed or fragmented. This can make it difficult for deer to find food and shelter, and can lead to increased stress and mortality.
