Do veterinarians work at their desks or with hands?

Veterinarians definitely work with their hands much more than at desks! Here's why:

* Physical Exams: They examine animals, listen to their heartbeats, check their teeth, and feel for abnormalities. This requires a lot of hands-on interaction.

* Surgery: Many veterinarians perform surgery, which is obviously very hands-on.

* Procedures: They administer medications, draw blood, insert catheters, and perform other procedures that require manual dexterity.

* Animal Handling: They need to be able to handle animals of all shapes and sizes, from tiny hamsters to large horses.

* Emergency Care: In emergency situations, they need to be able to quickly and efficiently perform procedures and treatments.

While veterinarians do use computers for record keeping, scheduling, and research, their primary work involves direct interaction with animals.
