You own a John Deere LT 150 and the wiring harness shorted out you replaced whole but tractor would not start so then installed new starter solenoid still no luck?

Perform a Spark Test

1. Remove the spark plug wire from the spark plug. Make sure the wire is still connected to the distributor cap

2. Insert a spark tester into the spark plug wire. A spark tester is a small, handheld device that will light up if there is a spark present.

3. Press the spark tester against the metal part of the engine block.

4. Crank the engine. If there is a spark present, the spark tester will light up.

Check for Fuel Pressure

1. Connect a fuel pressure gauge to the Schrader valve on the fuel rail.

2. Crank the engine. The fuel pressure should be between 35 and 55 psi.

Check the Fuel Injectors

1. Remove the fuel injector covers.

2. Inspect the fuel injectors for any damage.

3. Press the fuel injector button on the fuel injector rail. Fuel should spray out of the fuel injectors.

Check the ECM

1. Disconnect the ECM from the battery.

2. Wait 30 seconds.

3. Reconnect the ECM to the battery.

4. Crank the engine. If the tractor starts, the ECM is functioning properly.

If the tractor still does not start, you may need to take it to a John Deere dealer for further diagnosis.
