When do baby kangaroos learn to jump?

Kangaroos are born prematurely and spend the first few months of their lives in their mother's pouch, where they are protected and fed. During this time, they start to develop their muscles by kicking their legs and moving around inside the pouch. As they grow, they begin to venture out of the pouch for short periods to explore and play, but they still rely heavily on their mother's care. By around 6-9 months of age, baby kangaroos, also known as joeys, become more independent and start to learn how to jump. They do this by copying their mothers and other adult kangaroos in their mob. As they practice, they gradually develop the coordination and strength to hop around on their own. By the time they are 12-18 months old, joeys are fully capable of jumping and have become skilled at moving around in their environment.
