What mammals do red pandas eat?

Red pandas are primarily herbivores, meaning they eat plants. Their diet consists mainly of:

* Bamboo: They consume large amounts of bamboo shoots and leaves, making up about 95% of their diet.

* Fruits: They enjoy berries, apples, and other fruits when available.

* Other vegetation: They may also eat flowers, lichens, and mushrooms.

* Occasionally insects: They will sometimes supplement their diet with insects, but this is very rare.

They are not related to giant pandas, who are also primarily herbivores, but their diets are slightly different. Giant pandas focus on eating bamboo shoots, while red pandas prefer leaves and shoots.
