- Birds of Prey: Larger birds of prey like hawks, falcons, and owls are known predators of cockatiels. These raptors can swoop down and snatch cockatiels from the ground, trees, or even while in flight.
- Reptiles: Large reptiles such as snakes and crocodiles pose a threat to cockatiels. Snakes can climb trees to reach nests and capture young cockatiels, while crocodiles may prey on cockatiels that come near water bodies.
- Mammals: Some mammals, such as cats, foxes, and dingoes, are also known to hunt cockatiels. Cats, in particular, are skilled predators that can easily catch cockatiels that may venture near human settlements.
