What food do reindeers eat?
Reindeer are herbivores and their diet consists mainly of lichens, which are a type of fungus that grows on rocks and trees. They also eat other plants such as grasses, mosses, leaves, and shoots. During the winter months, when food is scarce, reindeer may also eat bark and twigs. Reindeer have specially adapted hooves that allow them to dig through the snow to reach the lichens and other plants that they eat.
