What does a baby lynx eat?

Lynx are carnivorous and eat a variety of small animals such as rabbits, hares, rodents and birds. A mother lynx feeds its young with milk for two to three months after they are born. As they grow older, the mother will start to bring solid food back to the den, such as scraps from her own kills. This process encourages them to start eating meat and learning to hunt. By the time they are around 6-10 months old, young lynx will be able to hunt on their own. This is also around the time that they will leave their mother and start to establish their own territory.
