What does girffe eat?
A giraffe's diet primarily consists of leaves, buds, twigs, and shoots of trees and shrubs, such as acacia trees. Giraffes are equipped with long, maneuverable necks that allow them to reach vegetation at heights inaccessible to other herbivores. They use their prehensile tongues, which can be up to 45 centimeters (18 inches) long, to grasp leaves and pull them into their mouths. Giraffes can also consume other plant materials, including fruits, flowers, and grasses, but leaves form the majority of their diet.
