Will a gull eat dead human flesh?

Gulls are known scavengers and will feed on a wide variety of food, including dead animals, fish, and even human flesh. A scientific study conducted in 1998 examined how gulls respond to the presence of dead human bodies. The study observed gulls scavenging on the bodies of dead infants and found that they would consume the soft tissues of the face, neck, and other exposed areas of the body. Although gulls will consume human flesh when available, they are not typically known to be predators of live human beings.
