Do magpies eat seeds and nuts?
Magpies are opportunistic omnivores and will eat almost any type of food available. They are known for their intelligence and adaptability and will readily take advantage of any abundant food sources. While seeds and nuts are not their preferred food, they will eat them if no other food is available. Magpies are capable of using tools to improve the efficiency of their feeding and often utilize twigs, branches, and rocks to break open shells or extract nuts from their shells.
