How long will a muscovy duck nurse her babies?

A Muscovy mother duck will nurse her babies for about ten to fourteen weeks. During this time, the mother duck will provide food for her babies and protect them from predators. She will also teach them how to swim and forage for food. Once the babies are old enough to survive on their own, they will leave their mother and join a flock.
