What do Ferruginous pygmy eat?

The ferruginous pygmy-owl (Glaucidium brasilianum) is a bird of prey that feeds on a wide range of small animals. Its diet includes mainly insects and other invertebrates, such as spiders, grasshoppers, beetles, moths, and crickets, as well as small vertebrates, like rodents, lizards, frogs, and small birds. It typically hunts by perching on a branch and waiting for prey to come close before pouncing on it with its sharp talons.
