How does the hairy nosed wombat get its food?
Hairy nosed wombats are herbivores, and their diet consists mainly of sedges, grasses, roots, and bark. They dig around in the dirt with their claws and strong sense of smell to find their preferred foods. Since many of the plants they typically would want to eat grow below the ground, or are close to the ground, they don't have to climb trees or do much movement above the ground to get to their food. Since they mostly eat at night, they get to hide in their burrows during the sunlight when predators are most active.
