What do walabies eat?

Walabies are marsupial herbivores that primarily feed on a variety of plant material. Their diet consists mainly of grasses, leaves, bark, and some fruits. Depending on the species and habitat, walabies may also consume flowers, fungi, and insects. They are known for their selective grazing behavior, often choosing tender and nutritious parts of plants. Some species of wallabies, such as the red-necked wallaby and the swamp wallaby, are known to exhibit browsing preferences for certain plant species. They have adapted well to their environment and can cope with moderate changes in food availability.
