What animals pandas eat?

Pandas are herbivorous mammals and their diet consists primarily of bamboo. They are known to eat over 30 different species of bamboo, and their diet can vary depending on the availability of different bamboo species in their habitat. Pandas use their specialized teeth and strong jaw muscles to crush and chew bamboo stalks, extracting the nutritious inner part of the plant. In addition to bamboo, pandas may occasionally consume other plant materials such as fruits, roots, and leaves, but bamboo makes up the majority of their diet.
