How long is a black jaguar?

Black jaguars are not a separate species or subspecies. They are simply melanistic jaguars, meaning they have a black coat due to a genetic mutation that causes increased melanin production.

Since they are the same species as regular jaguars, their length is the same:

* Males: 1.5 to 2.4 meters (4.9 to 7.9 feet)

* Females: 1.3 to 1.8 meters (4.3 to 5.9 feet)

Note: These measurements are for body length only and do not include the tail.
