Things You'll Need
- Medium-size speaker box
- Hand drill
- Square piece of carpet
- Scissors
- Glue gun
- Pillow case
- 4 screws
Instructions
Obtain a medium-size speaker box approximately 18 inches tall and 10 inches deep. Old speaker boxes can be found cheaply in pawn shops, in thrift stores and at yard sales. Make sure the box features at least one large speaker such as a sub-woofer.
Use the hand drill to remove the screws from around the speakers in the box. Discard the speakers, and discard all but four of the screws.
Clear the inside of the speaker box of all electronic components and wires.
Turn the speaker on its back with the speaker holes facing upward.
Squeeze lines of glue in a crisscross pattern on the bottom floor of the speaker box with a hot glue gun.
Line the glued part of the inside of the box with strips of carpet. Cut a square piece of carpet with scissors so it fits in the box properly. Allow it up to 10 minutes for the glue to dry. Repeat this step with all sides of the inside of the box so it is fully lined with carpet.
Turn the speaker box so the hole-side is the face of the box. The box should be laying on its side, lengthwise.
Place the pillowcase in the box. Drill a screw through each corner of the pillow case, and secure it to the ceiling of the box. This creates a hammock where your ferret will sleep.
