Where do cactus wrens like to build there nests?
Cactus wrens build their nests in cacti, usually at heights between 1 and 6 feet (0.3 and 1.8 m). They prefer columnar cacti, such as saguaros and organ pipes, but will also use other types of cacti, including chollas and prickly pears. The nest is typically made of twigs, grasses, and other plant materials, and is lined with feathers and animal hair. Cactus wrens often decorate the outside of their nests with pieces of cactus spines, snail shells, and other objects.
