Do snow leopards live any where near wolves?

Snow leopards (Panthera uncia) and wolves (Canis lupus) are both found in mountainous regions of Central Asia, so their ranges can overlap in some areas. For example, in the remote Kunlun Mountains in China, both snow leopards and wolves have been recorded, along with other large carnivores such as brown bears and Eurasian lynx.

Additionally, in the Ladakh region of India, which lies in the Himalayas, both snow leopards and Tibetan wolves (Canis lupus chanco) can be found inhabiting different altitudes of the terrain. However, it's essential to note that while their ranges may overlap, direct interactions and competition between snow leopards and wolves might be relatively limited due to differences in their preferred habitats and resource-use strategies. Snow leopards typically inhabit colder, alpine environments at higher elevations, while wolves often occupy warmer, lower-altitude areas. Nevertheless, the possibility of encounters between these two species in shared habitats does arise due to their overlapping ranges.
